QUANTOCKS TUNE BOOK
A great tune book containing 376 tunes selected from the manuscript of Somerset
fiddle player William Winter, (1774-1861). He worked as a shoemaker and played
in a church band and for country dances. The book contains many unfamiliar tunes
as well as new versions of familiar jigs, waltzes, polkas, hornpipes and
marches. The accompanying CD contains a selection 32 tunes, played by Rob
Harbron (concertina), Miranda Rutter and Nancy Kerr (fiddles), with Tim van
Eyken (melodeon).
